To all our avid blog followers,
I apologize for the huge lag time in getting updates on the blog. I was able to get internet access at our apartments, and then lost it again...don't know why. Our time at the church is extremely limited and getting students to write their blog entries and get them onto the blog while also doing everything else that needs to be done on and off the few computers here is nearly impossible.
We continue to have very good days here. Campus team has had opportunities to get to know students on campus. The Mercy team began with a list of things we needed to get done before we left, and the list seems to grow faster than we can get things done. But we are all seeing God bless our work tremendously.
Today was our day off. We spent it sight seeing and looking a lot like the goofy tourists that we are!
Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We have been blessed tremendously by dry days in the midst of the rainy season. We've had almost no one even begin to feel sick. God has used our work in very powerful ways and for that we are very thankful.
Pray for the MTW Thailand team as well. Having us here is probably more work for them than it is for us to come. Dave has been working non-stop to be an amazing host and leader. And all of his Thai and American staff have been doing the same. Please praise God for each of them.
Pray for the people of Thailand as well. We visited the Wat Po today. The Wat Po is a Buddhist temple with a massive statue of Buddha lying on his side. Outside the temple were rows and rows and rows of school children lined up to get inside the temple and learn how they could do good works, drop coins in buckets, bow before a statue, or become monks to get to Nirvana sooner... all the while, being led to their eternal destruction. I couldn't get that picture out of my head. It is only by God's incredible grace that the children sitting in front of a pagan temple are not our own. Praise God. Let's just pray that God's grace will also save the children who were sitting there today.
Thanks again for your patience.
Blessings,
Ben

Relax:
1) You're not there for our pleasure or curiosity.
2) We're a pretty understanding lot.
3) We know where you live.
