Monday-Campus Team

Monday- Hello all, Monday started out in a great way, Dave brought us french toast for breakfast! It was a welcome change from cereal every morning, though I must admit I'm a bit of a cereal-addict. After french toast and devotions led by Ben we rode the song-taew. This ride on the song-taew was something special, we managed to fit our ENTIRE group plus 4 Thai people on one song-taew. That's a grand total of 27 people plus driver on one vehicle. After arriving at church, Yu, a memeber of the MTW team here, gave her testimony. Yu then led us all in a crash course of the Thai language. Some are doing better than others at learning the language, but were all starting to at least know some basic phrases and things like that. Then, we all went to the market for lunch and of course some delicious smoothies. (My favorite flavor is strawberry pineapple, I have it every time!) After lunch, we started preparing for the soccer tournament which would be our activity for the rest of the day. After waiting for the Thai players to arrive, we rode to the soccer complex. The soccer complex is an unbelievable place, it has 4 fields and is roofed. It is an amazing place and a great place to watch soccer. The church here had two soccer teams for the tournament, the A and the B team, of course the Americans were on the B team. The Thai people really are amazing at soccer and they made most of us look silly, but it was fun to watch. The church A team took 2nd to the police team, but the main point of the tournament is to build relationships and hopefully connect the players to members of the MTW team so that they will eventually be brought into the church. It was definitely a productive time of conversations and great soccer. After the tournament was over, (it went from 4p.m.-12 a.m.) we all rode back to the BFL and got a good nights sleep.
Hope your all doing well!
